Artemis’s brother Apollo sent a scorpion to kill Orion in an attempt to protect his sister from the great hunter. The scorpion, named Scorpius, killed Orion while he slept. Artemis was so broken hearted and sad over the death of her beloved Orion and she became very angry with her brother for engineering his death. Apollo agreed to put Orion’s body in the sky so she could always remember her great love.
